Madhuri Dixit is an Indian actress. She has done a lot of work for Hindi cinema. She was a leading actress in the 80s, 90s and early 2000s. Because of the Madhuri's art of acting and dancing, she was admirable in front of the critics. Madhuri also won 6 Filmfare Award, 4 Best Actress awards, a Best Supporting Actress Award and a Special Award. Madhuri has been nominated for Filmfare's Best Actress 14 times. Madhuri was awarded "Padmashri" from the Indian Government in 2008, which is India's fourth most honorable award.

Madhuri had her debut film 'Abodh', but she got the recognition from the 1988 film 'Tezab', Madhuri herself kept herself as one of the main actresses in Hindi cinema, 'Ram Lakhan' in 1989, 'Parinda' in 1989, 'Dil' 1990, 'Sajan' in 1991, 'Beta' in 1992, 'Khalnayak' in 1993, 'Hum Aap Ke Hain Kaun' in 1994, 'Raja' in 1995, 'Dil to pagal hai' in 1997, she has acted as the lead actress. Madhuri did commendable work in front of critics like, 'Anjaam' in 1994, 'Mrityind' in 1997, 'Pukaar' in 2000,
'Lajja' in 2001 and 'Devdas' in 2002. Then from 2002 to 2007 Madhuri took brake from her film carrer, and later in 2007, she made her came back through the musical film "Aaja Nachle". And Madhuri also had the film "Dhed Ishqiya" and "Gulab Gang" in 2014. 

Madhuri has also worked in the four seasons of "Jhalak Dikhla Jaa" as Judge in addition to the films. Madhuri has also worked in several stage shows. In 2014, Madhuri was selected as UNICEF India's ambassador.
