Hema Malini is an Indian actress, director, producer, dancer and politician. In 1963, she started her film career while acting in the Tamil film "Ithu Sathiyam". In the initial round, she started her career as a supporting actor and dancer. Hema Malini's first film as 'Sapno Ka Saudagar' (1968), and after that she also worked in many successful Bollywood films. In most of the films, she has worked with her husband Dharmendra and Rajesh Khanna and Devanand.

Hema Malini soon got a new identity in the form of a "Dream Girl", and in 1977 she has also worked in many films in the name of Dream Girl. In her film career she played some kind of role. So far, she has appeared in nearly 150 films.

During her career, Hema Malini was nominated for the Filmfare Best Actress Award 11 times, and in 1972 she also received the award. In 2000, Hema Malini was also awarded the Filmfare Lifetime Achievement Award and the Padma Shri award from the Indian Government.

Hema Malini has also been the chairperson of the National Film Development Corporation. In 2006, for her incomparable contribution to Indian cinema and Indian culture and dance, she was awarded 'Samapa vistata Award' from Bhajan Sopori in Delhi.

From 2003 to 2009, Hema Malini was appointed in Rajya Sabha as the Bharatiya Janata Party's nominee. After this, Malini is associated with many social organizations and social institutions.
